Lidiya Delektorkskaya and Henri Matisse
State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Private Collection are glad to
present exhibition "Lidiya Delektorskaya - Henri Matisse. View from Moscow".
The exhibition is made up of presents given to Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts
by Lidiya Nikolaevna Delektorskaya (secretary and assistant of great French
artist Henri Matisse). On display there are more than 200 different works of
art, memorial objects, books, photographs, archive documents.

Arts Heritage of Yakutiya
State Tretyakov Gallery invites you to the 17th exhibition of the project
"Golden Map of Russia" - "Arts Heritage of Yakutiya. Painting. Graphic Arts.
Pupular Arts and Crafts" from the collection of State Museum Arts Center
"National Arts Museum of Republic of Sakha (Yakutiya)". The exhibition is to
be the part of cultural program dedicated to the 370th anniversary of
Yakutiya's joining Russia. On display in Tretyakov Gallery there are more
than 130 works. Special place is taken by six works from the unique
collection of west-european painting of the 17th - 18th centuries. This
collection is in the possession of Yakut Museum.

Sculpture and Gobelin in Interior
On 5 November in All-Russian Museum of Popular Arts and crafts there was
opened exhibition "Sculpture and Gobelin in Interior" held within the
frameworks of longstanding project "Art to Live" and program "Interior.
Adult Games". Earlier a sculpture was interpreted as an essential part of
interior of palaces and manors, as an exhibit of museums and art galleries.
But today sculpture returns to our houses. One of the aims of the exhibition
is to make art closer to real life.

Good Story in Tsaritsyno
State Museum and Preserve "Tsaritsyno" invites you to visit exhibition
"Skazka Dobraya, Povest Dolgaya:" Our life is like speedy train that leaves
behind us many things worth to stop and linger on. Years are passing by, but
in our memory there will always stay bright and magnetic images of fabulous
heroes - images of our childhood. And it's necessary sometimes to stop for a
while, forget your troubles and return to the world of childhood: or simply
go to the exhibition. On display there are works made of porcelain - you
will be met by Cinderella and Snowgirl, Witch and Gulliver. Exhibits are
taken from collections of many museums.

Salvador Dali. Golden Age
In Central Museum of Contemporary History there is exhibition of book
drawings by Salvador Dali from the collection of German collector Richard
Mayer. These works are exhibited in Russia for the first time. Experts are
sure that Mayer's collection is the fullest one of Dali's graphic works.
Personal acquaintance with famous Spanish started the collection which is
now being replenished thanks to ties with successors of people from Dali's
circle.

Icelandic Photography. Retrospective
Moscow Government, Reykjavik Government, Moscow Committee of Culture,
Reykjavik Art Museum, National Museum of Iceland and Moscow House of
Photography are proud to invite you to visit exhibition project "Icelandic
Photography. Retrospective" carried out within the frameworks of the program
"Seasons of Foreign Photography in Moscow". The exhibition consists of two
parts: Icelandic photography of the end of the end of the 19th century -
beginning of the 20th century from the collection of National Museum of
Iceland and contemporary Icelandic photography from the collection of
Reykjavik Art Museum. This exhibition is the history of the country of
farmers and salesmen, the country lost in the northern waters of Atlantic
Ocean. This is the journey starting in 1870 and finishing in 2002.

Preserved Nature and People
Ecological and Educational Center "Preserves" represents new photographic
exhibition "Preserved Nature and People" prepared with the support of
Embassy the Netherlands in Moscow. On display there are 70 colored
photographs: subjective photos and portraits of people living and working in
different reserves and national parks of Russia. Special attention is to be
attracted by photographs from the series "Nature and children". Among
authors there are workers of reserves and national parks of Russia, famous
journalists and photographers.

World of Yakut Holiday "Ysyakh"
Russian Ethnographical Museum invites you to the exhibition "World of Yakut
Holiday: Calendar, Traditions, Art" from the collection of Russian
Ethnographical Museum. The exhibition is organized to celebration of the
Days of Republic of Sakha (Yakutiya) carried out in Saint Petersburg. The
exhibition is dedicated to the main historical events - 370th anniversary of
Yakutiya's joining Russia and 300th anniversary of foundation of Saint
Petersburg. On display there are unique memorial of material and spiritual
culture of the most northern in the world Yakut cattle-breeders of the end
of the 19th century - 20th century. The main idea of the exhibition is
traditional Yakut holiday "Ysyakh" closer connected to the main occupation
of the Yakuts.

Sacred Sixties
Exhibition "Sacred Sixties" dedicated to 1860s - one of the most interesting
and the most important periods of the history of Russian art - was opened in
Benua Building. The exposition represents about 350 paintings, graphical and
sculptural works from the collection of Russian Museum, Tretyakov Gallery
and the Hermitage. Leading place of the exhibition is taken by the works of
a common genre which got mainly civil and social content. Visitors can see
works by V.Perov, F.Zhuravlev, A.Volkov, L.Solomatkina and I.Pryanishnikova
and by many other famous Russian artists.

Isaac Square. Images
In Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" there is inter-museum exhibition "Isaac
Square. Images:" dated for 25th jubilee of "Manege". Multilayer and diverse
history of Isaac Square became the theme of the exhibition. It has special
task: organizers didn't aim to create exhaustive historical investigation.
Having been collected "talking" fragments of historical past of each house
on Isaac Square there was carried out a certain artistic image reproducing
aura of that special culture which we unchangeably feel when we walk along
the streets and squares of old Saint Petersburg.

Possibility to Look at Things in Another Way
Saint Petersburg Museum of Freud's Dreams celebrated its third anniversary
by the opening of exhibition of Design Studio "I-Design". On display there
are photographs, installations, design objects united by the common name
"Vidimo-Nevidimo". Authors of works - Anastasia Golubeva and Maria
Gornostaeva (designers of the first Russian magazine on graffiti "Spray It")
let visitors of the exhibition look at ordinary things in a new way.

Museum of Myths and Superstitions
In the town of Uglish of Yaroslavakaya Region there was opened unusual
museum. Its owner - Darya Chuzhaya - called it "Museum and Creative Studio
of Myths and Superstitions of Russian People". The Museum is situated in a
wooden building in the center of Uglich. On display there are figures of
kikimoras, wood-goblins and other fabulous creatures, ethnographical items,
etc.
